Troubleshooting for Air Compressor of Concrete Batch Plant
The pneumatic system of concrete batch plant consistes of air compressor, pressure release valve, pipeline, compressed air processing unit, gas storage tank, solenoid valve and so on. Most equipment of concrete batch plant is driven by air pressure, which has the advantages of low cost and no pollution. Pneumatic system will affect the overall operation if there is a failure, so troubles holding for pneumatic system is important.
Air compressor is the key part of pneumatic system, whose common faults have: piston ring is worn, check valve is broken, air inlet valve is damaged, and air filter is blocked. So how can we determine if the check valve is damaged?
1. About ten seconds after air compressor stopped, rotate large belt wheel by hands, if it can be retated by a full turn easily, then the check valve is normal. If not, the check valve is broken.
2. Or you can determine by checking the air outlet under the automatic pressure switch. Air outlet should stop about ten seconds after the air compressor stopped. If air outlet doesn’t stop until the air compressor starts again, it means the check valve is damaged.
